Freshmen Interns

The Freshman Intern Program: The Ultimate Leadership Experience

The Freshman Intern Program is a select group of Freshman who learn the ins and outs of SGA and the University. Many Freshman go on to become senators, executive staff, and even president of SGA. It isn't just for Freshman wanting to only be in SGA, though. The Freshman intern program is considered "the ultimate leadership experience." Freshman Interns are considered the future leaders of the university in all departments and organizations of North Texas.

Freshman Interns serve as aids to the Executive Board, Senators, and the University administrators.  Interns not only participate in fun events like Homecoming, Boo Bash, and Shack-a-thon, but they also plan their own events benefitting the Freshman class and the University as a whole.  These great leaders also are able to attend the biggest event of the year, the annual Big Wig Dinner. This event is only for Freshman Interns, and is a one time opportunity to eat a formal dinner with the biggest names in the university, including Deans, administrators, the President of the university, and many more.
